Melways Races

At the moment in maths we are learning about location. Today we focussed on grid references and the symbols that are used in a Melways. Mrs Kowalski asked us to create a legend based on the symbols we saw on our map. We also had Melways races. Surprisingly we found this really fun even if it did make us really nervous when it was our turn. There was just so much pressure! Mrs Kowalski would call out a street name and the suburb and we had to race our partner to find it correctly in the Melways.
